White Rock Mountain

Updated: Oct 9, 2018

Sometimes you just need an adventure to cleanse the bitter taste of life from your soul.

It was time for a small adventure to end Spring Break properly. Tyler and I packed some drinks and snacks, put some gas in the Jeep (thanks Dad for the Jeep), and headed for an adventure aka followed google maps. My parents always talked about this place they loved to go with a beautiful view and not a ton of people, that sounded perfect to me.

We headed up to Mulberry and took another 45 minutes of curvy roads. Eventually, the pavement ended and it was gravel from there. We didn't get lost like my mom assumed we would and made it up to White Rock Mountain to explore. We took the "Rim Trail" which wraps around the mountain. There was a lookout every 100 yards it seemed. We stopped for a few photo opts and sat down to enjoy the view.

We decided to stop and use my hammock (thank you ENO hammocks). I absolutely love relaxing in a hammock, even thought it is much more comfortable with just one person. About 20 minutes into relaxing it started raining...of course. We waited for the rain to stop, but it just kept getting harder. We packed up and rain (off trail) to the Jeep. We headed back down the mountain and enjoyed the gravel roads and scenery the whole way back.

Not a ton to share about the trip, other than the fact that it is beautiful and you need to go visit. I cannot wait to go back once the trees are green and Spring has really sprung. Oh, and when it doesn't rain us out.

Go find an adventure today,
