Time To Get Cooking

Updated: Oct 28, 2018

Welcome to a different kind of "cooking" blog!

If you have stumbled upon this and intend to find gourmet recipes from a wonderful chef, you are in the wrong place. Feel free to head here, I hear they are wonderful. Or one of my best friends blog, here. She is a pretty great cook and I have tried her recipes a time or two (successfully I might add). This, however, is an honest description of my experiences cooking. That includes all the success and even the failed attempts.

This is more of a "follow along as I try and learn to cook" kind of blog. You will get some recipes along the way, but more importantly some good laughs. Hopefully some of you have the same thoughts I do while "cooking".

Why is raw meat so gross?

What is minced garlic?

How do I know when it's cooked?

Can I just get the canned version and not the organic?

What is this utensil for?

Why does it take so long to cook?

and most importantly....

"Is it good?"

If these are questions you have asked before...you are in the right spot. Not all of us are experienced cooks. Now don't get an inexperienced cook confused with a bad one, those are two different things. I can admit to being an inexperienced cook, but you can't be a bad one without trying (had to clarify from the beginning). So, whether you are a chef, a pretty good cook, or an inexperienced cook, welcome! You are in for a treat (see what I did there?)

Join me as I continue to ask silly questions about cooking, share my thoughts as I cook, and attempt to not burn down the house. I can assure you, it'll only get better from here.

Let's get to stirring (what utensil do I need for that?)
