Cruise Packing List: Things You Will Actually Use



I just got back and settled from an amazing cruise. It was my first one and I enjoyed every second of it. I had prepared with writing out so many packing lists and got in touch with those that have been on several cruises. I did not want to forget anything.


Now that I have been, there are many things that I packed that I did not touch. I thought I would share a cruise packing that won't cause you to over-pack (like I did).


Packing List

Essentials

· Passport and ID

· Printed Cruise Documents

· Printed Excursion Documents

· Cash

· Medical insurance cards


Clothing

· Pajamas

· Nice outfits for dinner (outfit for each night of your cruise)

· 1 formal outfit (be as formal as you want)

· Outfits for "out at sea" days (casual or cute, whichever you prefer)

· Outfits for excursion (swimwear/cover or other appropriate outfit)

· Light jacket/rain coat

· Swimsuits (I brought one for everyday)

· Swimsuit Cover-up

· Beach hat/ball cap (keep that sun off your face)

· Sunglasses and Case

· Underwear

· Bras (strapless and regular, depending on outfit)

· Dress shoes

· Casual shoes

· Flip flops

· Tennis Shoes (only if working out)

· Jewelry (wrap in plastic wrap to keep from tangling)

· Beach bag


Electronics

· Cell phone and charger

· Camera (waterproof- one thing I didn't bring that I wish I did)


Misc/Optional

· Lanyard

· Air freshener spray

· Books

· Water bottle (insulated) and water flavor packets

· 1.5 liter Wine/Champagne

· Cork opener

· 12 12oz. cans

· Gum/mints

Toiletries

· Toothbrush and paste

· Floss

· Shampoo and Conditioner

· Dry shampoo

· Medication (ibuprofen, Tylenol, Dramamine)

· Patch/bracelet for seasick

· Aloe gel (you will need this)

· Hand lotion

· Makeup bag

· Makeup remover

· Skincare

· Straightener

· Curling Iron

· Hair products

· Body Wash (the provide some)

· Razor

· Deodorant

· Hair ties

· Brush/Comb

· Bobby pins

· Q-tips

· Chapstick/Lipstick

· Sunscreen (don't forget this, it is very expensive on the boat)

· Essential oils/diffuser (if afraid of getting sick bring Ginger)

· Contact solution, contact case, extra contacts

· Eyeglasses

· Hairdryer (need this if you have lots of hair, one they provide isn't great)

· Hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes

· Wrinkle release spray


Day Bag (smaller bag to carry around on first day of cruise)

· Bathing suit

· Cover up or t-shirt/shorts

· Hat

· Toiletries

· Phone/camera and chargers

· Medications

· Sunglasses

· Book

· In plastic bag: ID, passport, cash, documents


These are the things that I needed for the cruise. I hope this helps make your packing go a little smoother and your bag a little lighter.
