Wedding Registry Checklist + Tips

Updated: May 18, 2020

Hello brides (and grooms)!

Registering for gifts has been one of my favorite wedding planning activities! It is the only time Tyler will ever be this excited about kitchen tools, pillows, and king size blankets.

1. We decided to register at Target and Amazon! I could have just done one or the other, but I would suggest registering at a couple different places! Some people like to go to the store and pick out the gift while others just want to have it shipped to you.

2. I made a list of all the things we could possibly imagine to register for! I took this with me to Target, but honestly just had to keep up with it the entire time. I recommend just enjoying the register process and go down each aisle and register for what you want. After, go back to your checklist and mark off all that you registered for.

3. Ask friends and family what they use the most that they got from their wedding. Hearing lots of different people favorite items will help you add to your registry checklist.

4. We decided to use Zola for our website. When you register, you can link your registries to your website so your guests can see it! I love Zola because you can add anything you want from any store, it doesn't have to be at your registered stores.

5. Look through your house and write down everything that you could possibly need. I walked through each room and wrote down different decor items that I wanted to have.

6. This takes longer than you would think. So don't have any time constraints when you go. Also, bring something to drink or grab a coffee at Target, you'll be thirsty!

7. Just have fun! Registering for items you will have in your first home together is so exciting!

Happy scanning everything in sight!

xoxo,
