I am 100% not a DIY person, but this one is just WAY too easy not to. I wanted a wreath for the front door that I could leave up for the majority of the year (come on, I have special ones for Christmas). I shopped online for wreaths and went to a few stores, but they were way too expensive, I wasn't going to spend $50 on a wreath! So here is a super easy and quick way to make a wreath for under $15!
Materials: I went to Hobby Lobby when everything was 50% off (check weekly ad for info). You need a brown vine wreath ($2.50), greenery garland ($9.99), zip ties, scissors, and a wreath hanger or command hook. You have a few options when buying. You can get a 10 or 12 inch vine wreath (I picked 12) and you have lots of options at Hobby Lobby of the greenery garland, so just pick what you like!
Step 1: Mark it out! Tuck the end piece and wrap it around to see how it will look. If you choose a 10 inch, the garland should go around two times, if you choose 12 inch, it will most likely go around one and a half times.
Step 2: Grab your zip ties! You can buy them at the Dollar store for cheaper! Attach to a main piece of the vine wreath. Run a zip tie through the vine and attach it to the bottom part of the greenery garland. Continue this all the way around the wreath! The amount of ties will depend on you, I used 7-8 zip ties. After, trim the zip ties! They will completely blend in.
Step 3: You will most likely be able to see the section that only got one wrap of garland instead of two like most of the wreath. You can either add ribbon to that spot, or just hang it by that spot (which is what I did). You can also trim any pieces that don't lay right and add them to the area of the wreath that is sparse.
HANG IT UP! That is all there is too it! You can make so many different wreaths with the different greenery garland options available!
